Help - Selected records
The Selected records page shows all records selected during a single
session of using Film Index International. There are separate Selected records for Film and Person searches.
Each Selected records page numbers each selected record and
arranges them in the order they were added, the most recent appearing first on the list.
A "no records" page will inform you if you don't have any Selected records stored. A maximum of 50 records can be stored in the Selected records (ie. up to 50 film records and 50 person records). If you select more than 50 records, an alert will appear and ask you to delete some of your records.
From the Selected records page you can:
- e-mail selected records - To send the full text of selected records to an e-mail address, click the e-mail selected records link.
- view the full text of the record - To view the full record, click the person's name or the film title.
- add notes for each Selected record - To add a note about a record in your list, type your notes into the Notes: text box and click the save notes icon. If you have
entered text into a Notes: text box and you haven't saved it, you
will be prompted to do so before leaving the Selected records page.
- clear individual records from the Selected records - To clear an individual record from the list, click
. There is no "undo" option, so if you delete a record from your list in error, you will need to re-select the record to return it to the selected records list.
- clear all records from the Selected records - To clear all records in your list, click clear all records. There is no "undo" option, so if you delete a record from your list in error, you will need to re-select the record to return it to the selected records list.
- download citations - Click on this link to download a citation for the record. The download citation page provides several download options.
- flip between Film and Person selected records - To switch to the other set of selected records easily, click the Person selected records link at the top of the Film selected records page, and vice versa.
Note: Each Selected records page is only
retained for a single user session of Film Index
International, and so any information recorded there
will be lost once you exit Film Index International.
To keep a more permanent record of your selected records, we
recommend that you e-mail them to yourself or print out page
before exiting.
